Q & A

Why are you passionate about coaching?

Relationship-building is a strength of mine and I truly enjoy learning about every applicant’s story and how an MBA will help them reach their career goals. While I am working one-on-one with applicants, I find it incredibly rewarding to see someone succeed in their pursuits. I truly enjoy helping others reach their full potential and turn their dreams into a reality.

What’s your favorite client success story?

It is so hard to pick just one story! One applicant that stands out was a first generation college graduate who really wanted to do a career switch and apply to the Weekend MBA program. He lived in Seattle and was so dedicated to his education that he was considering traveling to Chicago every weekend to obtain his MBA for two and a half years while still maintaining his full time job in Seattle. He was intimidated by the application process and looking for some guidance. I put him in touch with a few Weekend MBA alumni and students who had made, or were making, the long commute every weekend. I coached him on how best to convey his story of being a first generation college graduate and why that positioned him to be a competitive candidate. Ultimately, the admissions committee agreed. It was incredible to see him on campus every weekend and, in the end, he was able to make that career switch because of the program and the people he met while attending Booth.
