You’ll work with a highly experienced admissions coach to shape your core narrative, assess your school fit, hone your career vision and develop a smart plan for recommendations and storytelling, so you can move forward with focus and maximize your impact.

How It Works
MBA Application Jumpstart is a three-hour engagement, with thoughtful prep and follow-up throughout. Here’s what to expect:
1. Intake & Assessment
Before we meet, you’ll complete the Fortuna Application Strategy Questionnaire to help us understand your background, goals, and natural talents.
2. Strategy Session
In your first coaching session, we’ll dive deep into your profile, discussing your academic background, career trajectory, leadership experiences, and long-term goals. Together, we’ll explore opportunities to showcase your candidacy and begin shaping your core narrative.
3. Personalized Action Plan
After the session, your coach will create a customized briefing that outlines key takeaways, strategic recommendations, and a tailored roadmap for your MBA journey. This is your personalized game plan.
4. Guided Preparation
Working through Fortuna’s proprietary tools, you’ll complete three focused exercises:
- Career Vision Course – learn what schools look for when asking about your career ambitions and how to research relevant roles, industries, trends and career paths. Once completed, you will have a draft career vision to discuss with your coach.
- School Research – Do a deep dive into the schools you are considering, identifying specific courses, professors, clubs, and features that align with your goals.
- Leadership Stories – Identify your top leadership stories and potential recommenders. Learn how MBA programs define leadership and what kind of evidence they will be looking for in your past. Identify your top leadership stories that can set you apart from your peers. Use this exercise to identify your best potential recommenders and which stories they are best placed to tell.
5. Debrief Session
In your second coaching session, your coach will give you expert feedback across all three areas, pressure-testing your career vision, finalizing your school list, and refining your leadership stories that you and your recommenders will present, with the depth and detail to set you apart.
