Maya’s most recent MBA admissions experience was at the Harvard Business School. Prior to her time at HBS, Maya spent over a decade as a key member of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business’ Graduate Admissions team. In this leadership role, Maya interviewed and evaluated candidates from around the world, making decisions about whom to admit to the Full-Time MBA program. While Maya has successfully partnered with candidates from all backgrounds, she developed an expertise in working with those interested in post MBA careers that focus on social impact, sustainability, and healthcare as well as candidates who have pursued unique paths to business school.
Prior to joining Fortuna, in corporate recruiting and DEI roles overseeing partnerships with Forté, The Consortium, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow. Currently, Maya coaches Harvard Graduate School of Education students in the Educational Leadership, Organizations and Entrepreneurship track. When working with HGSE students, Maya positions herself as a goal oriented strategic thought partner who seeks to help HGSE students to maximize their time in the program and align their experiences with post graduate opportunities.
Maya’s in-depth understanding of the MBA ecosystem enables her to provide a high-touch, personalized experience to support candidates in understanding their goals and honing their stories to highlight the strengths in their candidacy.
